For Jesus, Through Jesus, In Jesus Name Greetings to you in Jesus Name! Have you noticed that the name of Jesus has been slowly disappearing from our culture? People will often refer to God, but it is a rare thing to hear the name of Jesus spoken outside of the walls of a church. Television and movies rarely ever say that name, except in a disparaging way. As believers, we know there is great power in the name of Jesus, and it is for Him that we serve others. It is only through Him that our work will ever bear fruit. Finally, we follow His commands to do His work “in the name of Jesus.” Jesus is the dividing line between Christianity and all other religions. Jesus is rejected because He clearly states that “He is the way, the truth and the life.” He alone is the way to Heaven. As a ministry, we have been given many opportunities to do good work for the poor if we would leave the name of Jesus out of our teaching. We stand firmly on His words that there is no other name under Heaven by which we can be saved, even if it causes us great trouble. We serve a mighty God and He will help us finish the work He began in us. Without Christ, we would be another “good-works” charity. But why would we want to offer bread while withholding the Bread of Life? God himself has highly exalted the name of Jesus so that at His name, one day, “every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.” Until that day, we serve the Lord Jesus among those he has sent to our door. We gratefully acknowledge that you are the means God has used to strengthen our hands to do this work. May He richly bless you!
