A Taste of Heaven’s Welcome—MOJ Style Arriving at Mission of Joy in India has often reminded me of the heavenly welcome all the faithful will one day receive. As I get out of the car, I see the children lined up with flowers in their hands waiting to throw them on me as I walk between them. They laugh and scream with delight as I am covered in the sweet smelling petals. Long before I arrive, they have spent 8 hours, coloring salt and arranging it to say “Welcome Uncle Jeff” along with the outline of their country. I have never experienced such unreserved joy as I do on my arrival day. When we gather in the orphanage, they sing for me, I sing for them, and then we sing together—praising God for His goodness.. Many times, delayed by traffic, they have waited hours for me to arrive. Do you have any doubts that all of Heaven is awaiting your arrival with anticipation and excitement? And, on that day, I believe two words may best describe your Heavenly reception— IMMEASURABLE JOY!
