Breaking Ground on Bible College & Fellowship Center Have you ever felt God prompting your heart or speaking to you in a way you can’t deny? When He does, you have two choices; you can either respond to that still small voice, or ignore it. When we are willing to listen and obey, God brings amazing things into our life that we could never imagine. Almost eighteen months ago, we were blessed with a contribution sufficient to purchase land and begin to construct a place for poor believers and a place of learning for impoverished pastors. What is so special about this? For one thing, since we purchased this piece of land, the value of the dollar has fallen 30%. If those who donated the funds would have delayed, the cost would have been $50,000 higher. Isn’t God’s timing always perfect? We broke ground this past month and are attempting to get the building in prior to the summer monsoons. We finished a protective wall around the facility last year and have laid the foundation for the facility. In our country, Christians can rent facilities to meet in when they cannot afford their own buildings. Many churches start in such places. In India, there is a strong prejudice against Christians, and no one will rent a hall or other meeting place to them. For the past couple of years, more than 3,000 believers around Vijayawada have been meeting in open fields. When the rains come they can only meet in small groups in their tiny homes. We are in need of prayer as local building officials have withheld building permits unless we pay them “facilitation fees.” We have steadfastly refused such “fees”, because once you start down that road, you can never return. Please pray for victory in building, and the remaining $25,000 needed to complete the project. Thank you for sharing the joy of laboring in the fields for Jesus sake!
