Willing to Carry the Light of Jesus Dear Friends of Mission of Joy—Greetings to you in Jesus Name! We have a special commission from Jesus to carry the light into the growing darkness. In Asia, we face growing persecution against our pastors, churches, and ministries to the poor. Some have been beaten by radical Hindus after finishing their Sunday services. Westerners travelling in India are also being targeted. What is it that the enemy fears from our outreach to the poor? The Bible says, “It is the kindness of God that leads men to repentance.” (Rom 2:4) If we show God’s kindness, it is possible that many will turn from useless idols to come to saving knowledge of Christ Jesus. So the enemy opposes us, even when we are drilling wells or handing out medical supplies and food.
The power of darkness is growing in the world, yet we are called to bring His light. Look within these pages and see how God is leading us to bring the light to those who are suffering in darkness. As we see the day of His return approaching, we are more motivated than ever to continue to pour out His mercy upon the least of these—the abandoned and forgotten. As God strengthens our hands, through people just like you, we pour out His love. We thank you for sharing the joy of sacrificing our lives so others might live. One day, the Lord will honor your sacrifices in ways beyond our imaginations. We are privileged to carry His light. Pray that we will be found faithful in the hour He has called us. We praise God for you because you are willing to share the work of the harvest. May the Lord bless you!
